BC Whales and our partners host a number of hydrophone stations that allow the public to listen to the underwater world in real time. These hydrophones are in ecologically rich areas where you can often hear humpback whale, fin whale and orca vocalizations. Peak season is in the late summer and early fall.
BC Whales (the North Coast Cetacean Society) is a non-profit whale-research organization dedicated to the research and protection of cetaceans along the northern coast of British Columbia.
